Hello there and welcome to A WORD A DAY!

Just as an apple a day keeps the Doctor away, A WORD A DAY! helps me rest and play.

I rest because my desk looks out of the window to the trees, and as I watch the birds  flitting to and fro and I see the season spring into life I enter a calm tranquility wherein  I can play.

My playthings are words and pictures, I love to create , whether it be a poem, a picture/photo or a short story,  or a review or just a volume of words that are not meant to be anything – a free-form type of scribbling  just for fun and just for me.

If it entertains or delights you then that’s good too!

Constructive criticism is welcome too but be gentle.

Just a little legal note  or two, this  will  protect both me and you

If you take my playthings away, and you want to play again someday

Don’t forget where you found them, even though I like to share

My kitchen cupboards are quite bare,

so please attribute and share my link

this means everything, including my kitchen sink!

  1. Hi there and thank you for visiting and following my blog. I hope to have the pleasure of your company again soon. In the meantime I’m going to have a peep at your playthings 🙂

  2. Thanks for visiting my blog. April’s poem a day has been exhausting, and I am so far behind. Writing has always been a form of play for me and I hope to see more of your playtime endeavors.
